Last year was difficult for us all. And many children have been the hidden victims – suffering abuse and neglect at home, and struggling with their mental health.
Supporters like you helped us be here throughout the pandemic. Will you help us continue to be here for every child?
"I used to only hear them late at night or first thing in the morning – now I’m working from home, I realise it’s happening throughout the day.
I sometimes hear the toddler crying as the parents are fighting. It pains me to think the child is having to live like this – can you help?”
- Neighbour, who contacted NSPCC helpline
Our helpline provides expert advice and support for adults worried about a child. We protect children suffering abuse by reporting concerns to children's service or the police.
Around 90% of our income is donated – we need your help to help keep children and young people safe.
On average, Childline answers a call from a child or young person every 25 seconds.
The NSPCC helpline has received some of its highest ever monthly numbers of contacts from adults concerned about domestic abuse.
There are lots of ways you can support our work if you aren't able to donate online.

Meeting standards
We've agreed to stick to a strict set of codes and a fundraising promise, which means we treat our supporters and donors with respect, fairness and honesty and we are always clear about how we raise money.
In 2019/20 we spent £86.8 million (79.7%) on services and activities to make children and young people safer. This includes working with children and families, our helplines, schools service and child protection and awareness campaigns like PANTS. Read our Annual Report.
